Tiffany Brunson
Originally from Spartanburg, SC, Tiffany graduated from Spartanburg High School, went to Clemson University and studied Agricultural Engineering with a Biotechnology emphasis. During her later college years, she started part-time work with Wal-Mart. She stayed with Wal-Mart for 7 years starting as a part-time evening bakery clerk in Anderson, SC and working up to the salaried position of assistant Wal-Mart SuperCenter store manager of a 130,000 sq.ft. facility – the largest in the nation at the time in Pearl, MS. She left the workforce upon having her son, Alex, in Mississippi.
After moving to North Carolina in 2008 and staying home with Alex for a few years, she got restless and started a home-based business, Tiffany’s Cakery, LLC, in Gastonia. Her business made special event cakes from as small as 2 inches x 2 inches to cakes as large as 8 tiers serving 300+ people! She also sold cookies on Etsy and in the boutique store, The Hive in Gastonia. She became quite the one woman show teaching herself much about website creation using Wix, managing her own books, filing her taxes (eyeroll), and staying on top of the latest and greatest in confectionary design for the time.
Tiffany is married (20 years) to Randall, and they have one teen son, Alex. They moved to the Steele Creek area in 2019 and found SCPCPH. She and her family became members of Steele Creek Presbyterian Church at Pleasant Hill in the summer of 2022. She and her husband are very active in the church’s music programs. She plays handbells, sings in the sanctuary choir and assists in the tech booth on occasion running slides, cameras or lights. Having been informed by Al Winget on their second visit that they live closer to the church than anyone else, they now challenge you to beat them!
She is also very active with her son’s small Christian school in Fort Mill, SC, having served on the PIT (Parent Involvement Team) Crew for 3 years, chairing one of the smaller committees for 2 of those years, supporting the cross-country coaches and teams the past two years, and now serving as the interim cross-country coach for the middle and high schools for the 2024 – 2025 school year. If you can’t find her this September or October, she is probably at practice or a meet!
Tiffany has also served with Agape Dental Ministry in Charlotte, NC by assisting with their internet and social media presence.
As a pastime, Tiffany enjoys tatting (no, not the needle and ink but the shuttle and thread), genealogy research, hiking, math and word puzzles, and hanging out by one of our firepits or fire tables when the weather is just right.
